K9 Koda

Deputy Jones has been with Denver Sheriff's Department since 2000. He and his K9 partner Koda have been working together since 2016 in the K9 Unit. Koda's specialty is narcotic and cell phone detection. She is a Belgian Malinois, born in 2015.

We are currently working on increasing Koda’s stamina through a strength and conditioning program. Koda's work environment is very unpredictable and challenging which requires her to be in optimum condition. Koda has been fortunate to not have sustained an injury to date. Our GOALS for Koda are injury prevention and maximizing her overall fitness to exceed her daily activity requirements.
