Rehabilitation and therapy
We help fund physical therapy, therapeutic modalities, and recovery plans that keep service dogs moving comfortably.
Nonprofit support for working dogs
Friends of Sierra funds therapy, conditioning, equipment, and retirement support for K9 officers and civilian working dogs whose service asks everything of them.

Your gift funds
Welcome to our new site
We rebuilt Friends of Sierra online so supporters can more easily meet the dogs, sponsor their care, donate items, learn our story, and follow the mission as we grow. Thank you for being part of this next chapter.
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."
Established in 2018
Friends of Sierra is a non-profit organization committed to continued education through research and development to improve the science of animal physical therapy and overall health. We envision a world where service dogs receive every mode of care they need to thrive and serve beyond historical norms through physical training, quality therapy, and injury prevention.
Through continued research and education, we make physical therapy more readily available to all who need it, helping service dogs live long, healthy, and productive lives.
The mission
The old site had the right heart. This version brings that story forward with clearer purpose, stronger proof, and easier next steps for supporters.

What donations make possible
Friends of Sierra focuses on the care behind the mission: recovery, conditioning, injury prevention, and support after active work.
We help fund physical therapy, therapeutic modalities, and recovery plans that keep service dogs moving comfortably.
Conditioning support helps active dogs build stamina, reduce preventable injury, and stay ready for demanding work.
Support continues beyond active service so retired dogs can receive the care they need after years of work.

The original homepage featured this video as part of the Friends of Sierra story. It now sits in the flow as a visual proof point between the mission and giving paths.
Trust and proof
Rehabilitation and conditioning are not extras. For many dogs, they are the difference between pain and purpose.
